Before purchasing your new boiler, it’s important to consider a few things to make sure your boiler installation goes smoothly. Size, space, and accessibility are the main factors that our team of engineers look at before the job commences. In this guide, we’ll be explaining all the requirements you need and the best ways for you to make certain your new boiler fits exactly where it’s supposed to.
For your engineer to do the job properly, there needs to be enough space for them to work. Once you've answered the questions on our journey and selected your boiler, look under the ‘What’s in the BOXT’ section to check your chosen boiler’s dimensions (WxDxH). It’s important there is approximately 20 cm above, 20 cm below, and 60 cm of space surrounding the boiler for clearance. This would be an adequate amount of room for the engineer to work with.
When deciding which boiler to purchase, it’s important to consider its size. Especially if you’re moving your boiler to a different location in your home, then measuring the space you want your new boiler and the boiler dimensions would be useful. Usually in the photos you send we can tell if the boiler will fit or not.
If you need any help with this feel free to contact us on our Live Chat or drop us an email. Here, you’ll be able to talk to one of our senior engineers directly, who will offer their expert opinion.
Efficient, simple, and convenient - at BOXT we don’t do surveys. We feel this just prolongs the process and that’s the last thing you need when you’re living without hot water or heating. This is why we can’t stress enough the importance of sending in photos of your current boiler position, pipework, and flue.
Once you’ve purchased your new boiler, you’ll receive an order confirmation email, and on that email you’ll see a link that says ‘send photos’, then just follow the simple steps. The photos don’t have to be anything special, just ensure they’re clear and visible. If you’re having trouble, don’t hesitate to contact us and we’ll guide you through it all or find an alternative way.
Find the perfect fit for your home with our simple process.
